• Circle data: Names, emails, and phone numbers of contacts you add to your emergency circles
• Emergency records: Timestamps, severity levels, and response data for emergencies and drills you trigger
• Usage data: Log data including IP address, browser type, and pages visited

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Deliver emergency alerts and notifications to your designated circle members
• Operate and improve the CallCircle service
• Authenticate your account and maintain security
• Send transactional communications (e.g., password resets, confirmation emails)
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.

3. SMS Messaging

CallCircle uses Twilio to send SMS messages to you and your circle members during emergencies, drills, and for account-related notifications. By registering and consenting to SMS, you authorize us to send these messages. See our SMS Policy for full opt-in/opt-out details.

Phone numbers are shared with Twilio solely for the purpose of message delivery. Twilio's privacy practices are governed by their Privacy Policy.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With circle members: Your name and alert status are shared with members of your designated emergency circle during an active emergency
• With service providers: We use Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), and infrastructure providers to operate our service
• Legal compliance: If required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure session management. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Emergency records are retained for 12 months to support incident review. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of SMS communications at any time (reply STOP)
• Export your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy

CallCircle is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
